Fresh on Demand – Improving the Quality of Fruit and Vegetable Chains

RipeLocker is pleased to announce it has sent both commercial and R&D containers to Wageningen University & Research (WUR, the Netherlands) for extensive efficacy trial work in Europe on a variety of perishables. WUR has over 80 years of experience in post-harvest management and uniquely combines expertise in the field of physiology, cold chain technology, and market access. Wageningen works together with many partners, worldwide, in the entire postharvest chain. An example is “Fresh on Demand”, a research project to improve the quality of fruit and vegetable chains. RipeLocker is already participating in this with tests on papayas. We are excited to add another independent third party to test our vacuum container technology on a broader range of perishables in Europe.
